Physician-supervised semaglutide and tirzepatide, prescribed only after we understand why your weight isn't moving — thyroid, cortisol, insulin, estrogen, or otherwise. Because the medication works a lot better when it's actually pointed at the problem.
No shortcuts, no template protocols — every step is calibrated to what your labs and your body are telling us.
A full metabolic and hormonal panel before a single prescription is written — fasting insulin, HbA1c, complete thyroid, cortisol, and lipids. We find out why the scale isn't moving before we decide how to move it.
A sit-down with your Tera Fe physician and our certified holistic nutritionist. We review your labs line by line and game-plan the protocol together — the medication and the eating pattern that supports it.
Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide — whichever fits your labs, history, and goals — prescribed by your physician and prepared by a licensed U.S. 503A pharmacy. Shipped to your door or picked up in Mesa.
Monthly check-ins to adjust your dose up, down, or hold — based on your weight response, side-effect tolerance, and where your labs are trending. GLP-1s work when they're titrated, not set-and-forget.
Dr. Allen personally reviews your response every month and adjusts your dose up, down, or holds — based on what your labs and your body are telling us. GLP-1s work when they're titrated carefully; most clinics just start you and forget you.
Our in-house nutritionist builds your eating pattern around the medication — maximizing protein intake, preserving satiety signals, and avoiding the nutrient gaps that trip up most GLP-1 patients. Not a 1,200-calorie diet. A real, sustainable plan.
The most important thing you can lose on a GLP-1 is fat — not muscle. We build protein targets, resistance-training recommendations, and supplement protocols into every plan, so the weight you lose stays off and the metabolism-preserving muscle stays with you.
Track fat mass, muscle mass, body water, and visceral fat — so you know you're losing the right kind of weight, not just weight. Come in as often as you like; every scan is included.

Because "compounded" has become a loaded word, we want to be explicit about what that means at Tera Fe.
Tera Fe's compounded GLP-1 medications are prepared by licensed U.S.-based 503A compounding pharmacies under a physician's prescription written specifically for you. 503A pharmacies are regulated by the FDA and state boards of pharmacy and must meet sterility, identity, strength, quality, and purity standards.
Compounded drug products are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness, or quality by the FDA. Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound®, and Mounjaro® are branded products of Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly respectively — Tera Fe does not dispense or distribute branded medications, and these products are not affiliated with or endorsed by Tera Fe. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide contain the same active molecule as the branded versions, prepared by a licensed pharmacist.
Common side effects include nausea, constipation, reflux, and fatigue, especially during titration. Most mild. Your provider will adjust dosing to manage them. Serious side effects — including pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, kidney injury, and hypoglycemia (especially if you take insulin) — are rare but possible. All of these will be reviewed in detail with you before you start, and the care team is reachable any day you need them.
Dr. Gregory Allen has been treating hormone imbalance and metabolic disease for nearly two decades in Mesa, AZ. That matters here, because GLP-1 medications are at their best when they're pointed at the actual problem — and the actual problem, at 35 or 45 or 55, is often a thyroid, cortisol, or estrogen story underneath the weight story. Dr. Allen's team reviews every patient's workup personally before anything is prescribed.

"I'd been told my thyroid was 'normal' for five years. Dr. Allen's team caught what three other doctors missed. Down 28 pounds and the brain fog is gone."
"I tried Wegovy through another telehealth brand and got nowhere. Tera Fe ran labs, fixed my dose, and I lost 34 pounds in 5 months. Real medicine."
Our job is to get the scale moving, your energy back, and room in your life for the things you've been too tired for. Dr. Allen and the Tera Fe team are in this with you — for as long as the work takes.
The active molecule — semaglutide or tirzepatide — is the same as in the branded products. The difference is that compounded medications are prepared by a licensed 503A pharmacy under your physician's prescription, rather than manufactured by Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly. Compounded drug products are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness, or quality by the FDA. We use licensed U.S.-based pharmacies and your physician reviews every prescription personally.
Honestly? Nobody can tell you that up front, and you should be skeptical of any clinic that does. In the manufacturers' phase 3 trials of the branded products at top maintenance doses, average weight change was roughly 15% on semaglutide and roughly 20% on tirzepatide — but those are trial averages under trial conditions, not a prediction about you. Your response depends on your baseline metabolism, your underlying hormone picture, how you eat and move, and how carefully your provider titrates the dose. We set a realistic individual target with you during enrollment, and we revisit it monthly against what your body is actually doing.
The most common side effects are mild-to-moderate nausea, constipation, reflux, and fatigue — especially in the first 4–6 weeks of a dose increase. They usually resolve or become manageable with dose adjustment and hydration, and we start low and titrate slowly for exactly that reason. Rare but more serious side effects include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, and kidney injury; these are reviewed in detail during your enrollment visit and flagged on every follow-up.
Some weight regain is common when any weight-loss intervention stops — including diet, surgery, and GLP-1 medications. The research suggests regain is minimized when patients (a) taper off slowly rather than stop abruptly, (b) hold on to lean muscle mass during the loss phase, and (c) address any underlying hormonal driver that contributed to the weight in the first place. Our protocol is designed around all three.
Tera Fe's weight management program is cash-pay. Most commercial insurance does not cover compounded medications; our pricing (starting at just $300/mo) is usually less than the out-of-pocket cost of brand-name GLP-1s without insurance. FSA and HSA funds can typically be used for eligible portions of care — we'll provide documentation.
Many of our patients come to us already on a GLP-1 and frustrated with plateaus, side effects, or a clinic that isn't paying attention. We'll pick up where you are, run the labs, review your dose, and adjust. We do not accept transfers mid-supply — you'll need to finish or stop your current supply before we ship anything new.
For many patients, yes — and often it works better than either alone. Weight gain after forty is frequently a hormonal story (thyroid, cortisol, estrogen, testosterone) layered on a metabolic one. Dr. Allen's team is uniquely equipped to treat both at once. Add HRT to your quiz answers and we'll show you a combined protocol.
Quiz is free. No payment. No commitment. You'll see your recommendation and our open appointment times the moment you finish, and a licensed physician reviews every answer before anything is prescribed.
